Who can participate in Thing Adventures tours?

The majority of our tours are designed for individuals with disabilities who are funded through the NDIS. We are also a licensed Inbound Tour Operator catering to international clients. We offer a range of tours for different abilities and interests, and we can work with you to create a respite/STA experience or a custom tour that meets your needs.

What types of respite/STA (short term accommodation) experiences do you offer?

We offer a range of respite/STA options, including beach tours, bush tours, and custom tours. Our tours are designed to provide respite care for individuals with disabilities, as well as to offer an opportunity for adventure and outdoor exploration.

How do I book a respite/STA tour?

You can book a tour by making an enquiry via the links on this website. You can contact us directly via phone or email by following the same links. We'll work with you to determine the best activities for your needs, and we'll provide you with all the information you need to prepare for your adventure.

What should I bring?

We'll provide you with a list of recommended items to bring on your tour, depending on the specific tour you've booked. Generally, we recommend bringing comfortable clothing and shoes, sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, a water bottle, and any necessary medications.

What if I need to cancel my tour?

If you need to cancel your tour, please let us know as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy is contained in your service agreement, but we'll work with you to find a solution that meets your needs.

Do you offer accessible tours for individuals with mobility impairments?

If you have specific accessibility needs, we encourage you to reach out to us to discuss your requirements. We will do our best to work with you to create a tour that meets your needs to the extent that we can.

Do you provide transportation to and from activities?

Yes. For weekly activities or programs, we can provide transportation for an additional fee. Please let us know if you need transportation when you book your activity, and we'll provide you with more information.

For respite/STA experiences, all transportation to and from your place of residence is included.

Are your programs, courses and tours covered by NDIS funding?

All of our respite tours, courses, and programs are eligible for NDIS funding. To determine your eligibility and available funding, please contact us. We can also provide information on the specific learning outcomes of our activities that are applicable for NDIS funding.
